Message from the CEO

“Empowering Minds. Nurturing Resilience.”

Dear Families and Partners:

Welcome to The Wellness and Resilience Center

where we believe every child is capable, every parent is powerful, and every educator is essential.

Our mission is bold, but simple: to empower minds and nurture resilience from the inside out ----beginning with a focus on our youngest learners and their families. And we mean it. When we founded WRC, we weren’t just thinking about programs.

We were thinking about people:

children silently struggling in classrooms, parents doing their best but still feeling overwhelmed and teachers burning out while carrying the emotional weight of every child in their care.

The question we asked ourselves:

What if we built a place that served all of them?

What if mental and emotional wellness wasn’t an afterthought, but the foundation?

What if it were our identity?

That “what if” became our reality.

The question we asked ourselves:

What if we built a place that served all of them?

What if mental and emotional wellness wasn’t an afterthought, but the foundation?

What if it were our identity?

That “what if” became our reality.
At WRC, to accomplish our mission, we focus on 5 Pillars:
01
Children’s Mental & Behavioral Health

We meet children where they are — developmentally, emotionally, behaviorally. From in-themoment behavioral support to trauma-informed interventions, we equip kids with the emotional
tools they need to thrive — not just survive.

02
Teacher Support & Mentoring

Teachers are the heartbeat of our classrooms. At WRC, we pour into them. Through emotional and behavioral help for them as individuals first.

03
Parent Training & Coaching

Parenting is powerful — but it’s not meant to be done alone. We empower caregivers with
practical tools and evidence-based strategies through our Triple P training and support---
strengthening families from the inside out.

04
Community-Based Access to Care

Wellness should never depend on zip code, income, or access to transportation. That’s why our
services meet families where they are — in preschools, homes, schools, and community spaces
— removing barriers and restoring dignity.

05
Community Health Workers

This isn’t just a project. It’s a movement

A Final Word

At WRC, we don’t run from challenges — we run toward them with purpose. Because every child deserves to feel seen. Every parent deserves support. And every teacher deserves to feel valued.

Thank you for walking with us on this mission. Together, we’re empowering minds, nurturing resilience, and changing the narrative for children and families—right here in Dayton, Ohio.

With deep gratitude and unwavering purpose,

Kimberly Jarvis
